Gulf Extrusion

AWAJ was appointed to develop Press 5 and 6 for Vertical Powder Coating Plant and Anodizing Pretreatment plant along with Warehouse. There was an existing plant production was happening where Press 5 and 6 were constructed.

The key challenge was to keep the existing factory operation undisturbed during this construction of the new buildings. Since it is a production line the large spans were needed in addition to designing foundations at the interface between new and existing buildings.

Apart from this AWAJ achieved two objectives set out by client. To provide a good natural lighting for the factory building, the North light tresses were proposed to achieve this.

Wind driven fans were proposed for natural ventilation purpose to keep the desired temperature inside the factory for working comfort. These fans also work as smoke vent in case of Fire. Semi curved insulated sandwich panel roof proposed for distinctive architectural feature compared to surrounding.
